Join Draw Plants Together for a creative way to spend your Saturday mornings, in the prop shed at VINC!
An opportunity to connect with local plants, learn with others and find your own way with drawing in a supportive and inclusive space. The sessions focus on the indigenous plants grown at VINC at various stages – from seed, to seedling, to establishing plants.

Victorian Indigenous Nurseries Co-op is a not-for-profit co-operative, and has been an integral part of ecological restoration work across Narrm since 1985. VINC propagates and supplies indigenous plants to local councils and contractors, schools, community groups, landscape gardeners and members of the public.
Noticing eucalypts – a creative day of drawing & printmaking
Sunday April 6th | 10am–3pm | $32–$56 for single 2-hour workshop, $60 to $100 for full day | all materials included
A day of drawing, printmaking, reflection and learning in connection with National Eucalypt Day with Craig Burgess from Draw Plants Together and Sheena Mathieson from Woman-made.
2 sessions back-to-back on Sunday April 6 at NECCHi Newlands in Coburg North on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country. Attend a single session or the full day :) Lunchtime plant sale with proceeds to The Torch.

Field-notes: 3wk creative short-course
Starts Wednesday April 9th for 3 weeks | 6pm to 8pm* | Sliding scale: $70 to $120 for 3 weeks (total 6 hours) + $20 printing fee | all art materials included | *5:30pm to 7:30pm on April 2nd
Hosted by Craig Burgess from Draw Plants Together in collaboration with Adele Daniele from Because I Like You Creative Studio, Field-notes is a 3-week creative process with a collective print outcome.
In weeks 1 and 2 spend time drawing and note taking indoors and outdoors, and in week 3 we make a simple print publication together guided by Adele.
Following the final session, we’ll each get copies of our collective outcome :)
Early morning plant drawing sessions in Waring at the Rotunda Wetland
Tuesday mornings, starting April 8th for 5 weeks | 8am to 9:15am | Sliding scale: $12 to $20 for 1-hour workshop – or sign up for all 5 sessions | all materials included
Plant drawing in the morning sets in motion different possibilities and pathways, and resources us for the rest of the day. It can bring us quietly into the present and into connection with the local ecologies around us (that we're also a part of).
The workshops are also an opportunity for some creativity and experimentation with drawing in the company of others.
Workshops start at the Rotunda Wetland, Clifton Hill and will sometimes include a short walk. The Rotunda is a shelter and has seating so is good in most weather.
Feel free to bring a thermos of coffee or tea or munch on a muesli bar etc. :)
Plant drawing 5-week short course – Waring – Darebin Parklands
Starts Wednesday April 23rd for 5 weeks | 6pm to 8pm | Sliding scale: $26 fo $42 for single 2-hour workshop or $120 to $200 for all 5 weeks (total 10 hours) | all materials included
An opportunity to connect with plants, learn with others and find your own way with drawing in a supportive and inclusive space.
The 5 drawing sessions focus on the indigenous plants of the Darebin Creek catchment and what they’re up to cooler, wetter Wurundjeri season Waring. Sessions are indoors at the Gleeson Centre and outdoors on short walks in the Parklands.

Plant drawing workshop at Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve
Saturday April 26th | 1pm to 3pm | Sliding scale: $20 to $36 for 2-hour workshop | all materials included
This friendly, inclusive drawing workshop will be an opportunity to tune in to the life of the Yalukit Willam wetland, notice the indigenous plants of the place and experiment with drawing in the supportive and inclusive space.
Yalukit Willam is a beautiful wetland cared for by the Yalukit Willam Nature Association (YWNA) on Boon Wurrung Country. The wetland reserve has been carefully designed to foster biodiversity and wildlife and is a wonderful example of collaboration of different partners and grassroots community-led care.
Weekly plant drawing at NECCHi East Coburg – Biderap & Iuk
Thursdays from January 30th to April 3rd | 11am–1pm | $15–$20 for 2-hour workshop | discounts for multiple sessions | materials included
Fun and relaxed 2-hour creative sessions held at the East Coburg Community House and Garden and along the Merri Merri. Connect with indigenous plants in the company of others and find your way with drawing.
